Finger-licking food with no pretense.

It all began in London.

The owners David and Elizabeth met in London and for years enjoyed the funky joints dotted over the big city. We moved to Alsager to raise a family, and although village life is amazing, we missed some of our old favourite hangouts. We missed the alternative places that boasted a relaxed vibe, fun decor, and honest food inspired by various cultures to enjoy with some great drinks.  

 

We decided to take matters into our own hands and create a space that is truly welcoming, relaxed, and dishes out food that you just want to sink your teeth into.  If you are looking for a place with china saucers and table linens, then we simply are not the place for you. We are loud, like funky stuff, and like to get involved with our guests. 

 

We are honest and down to earth people who just want to create a hangout you go to when you're feeling down to cheer you up, or when you're feeling great and want to celebrate.

We have two floors:

EY UP DUCK is downstairs, which has a fun casual vibe. It does breakfast, lunch, and dinner and has an international theme. There are theme nights throughout the week, and our most popular theme is TAPAS which is on Fridays and Saturdays.

 

The SMOKING DUCK is upstairs, which is an all-American concept, with a focus on house-smoked foods and BBQ. This is open Thursday-Sunday, and boasts self-scoring oches that you can book our and play darts with your friends and family.
